Ivy Reynolds is a photographer and visual producer based in Los Angeles. My work has included commercial campaigns for UCLA, Airbnb, and Amazon, alongside years in digital imaging at Getty Images.
What I do
I make images that feel true — whether I’m directing a shoot for a brand, documenting a moment as it happens, or building something entirely from imagination. Lately I’ve become fascinated by the intersection of photography and generative AI. Not because I think it replaces photography, but because it gives me another way to imagine before I begin making photographs.
How I got here
My high school teacher handed me a camera, and the lights turned on. I dropped my first 35mm in the ocean, found a $12 twin-lens camera, and spent the next two decades seeing the world in squares. I was living inside Instagram before Instagram existed.
Where I've been
Commercial work for UCLA, Airbnb, and Amazon. Getty Images. A summer student trip overseas to Italy, Greece, and Turkey that still informs every decision I make. Most days you’ll find me in my garden in South Pasadena with my family.
What's next
Something as beautiful as Merchant Ivory. A house I design myself. Fluent French. Paris, part-time. But first — the next shoot.
